For some reason that I can’t really pinpoint, the land and ocean on the island touch me far more than anywhere else I’ve ever been, including the Caribbean. Donna, I am so sorry to hear that your home was flooded. The Outer Banks is one of my favorite places in the world, but the stinking hurricanes are horrible. To a certain extent I can understand your dilemma. Our house burned in 1979 and we lost everything. My heart goes out to you and I hope you are able to return home before too long. Hugs, my friend.

I’m presently taking a Cake Decorating class where we are also being taught to run our own business! Our final project will be a three trier wedding cake. Where can I get one of the large plastic containers back would make the transport easier? I think I would like that very much!

Thanks for your kind comment on the guitar cake, Donna. I used a small yarn for the strings. My husband drilled tiny holes through chopsticks and I threaded the yarn through the holes, tied it off, cut the sticks to the appropriate length and inserted into the cake. I was worried about the strings, but it turned out to be real easy and effective.
