Pauline, I’m in awe!!!!! The cake, the owl and the star are wonderful in their own right….but a balancing act makes it awesome to say the least. And in the heat and humidity that you have to contend with!!! I’m driving over to KL to learn from you. Just say the word, Oh Guru of Cake!

I was quite nervous about this cake travelling back to Melaka as it had started to rain and I messaged the client that the cake cannot be touched by rain. She messages back that they were on their way and it was already raining on their end. By the time they arrived, it was already raining so I had my hubby carry the umbrella over the cake as I carried it to their car. I also taped a plastic sheet onto the cake box to further protect the cake from the rain.

Raika, the figurines are fully gumpaste. They were fully dried in an air conditioned environment for many days to fight the heat and humidity. That’s why I charge quite a lot for each sugar figure… time, skill and electricity! Lol!

Just received this email from my client. I am so chuffed!
Hi Pauline,

We reached Melaka with the cake safe and in good shape that day. Took lots of photos when on the way back. Was managed to be at the dinner place on time.

Yesterday night was a good party night! Baby Timothy likes that cake!
We showed him the cake in the morning first, with the video playing, side-by-side with the cake. His eyes keep turning left and right to compare the characters! He is so happy.
Everyone else were stunned by the cake as well. The cutie little star and owl are with us now and we are thinking where is the good place to keep it…

Really appreciate the hard work! Thanks again!
