Hi I'm Shelagh and I started Caketales a couple of years ago after making some cakes for friends and family.
I've been lucky to have their support (and repeat custom) and have reached the stage where I'm confident to take my cakes to the public.
I'm self taught (with a little help from my mum) and see every cake as a learning curve which helps to make the next one even better.
I don't see myself as artistic but describe myself as creative :) and strive to create one-off fabulous cakes that will make a special day truly unique.
No matter how my cakes turns out (and there have been some failures believe me!!) one thing i can guarantee is a fabulous tasting cake - which, after all, is the most important bit - isn't it?? ;) x
