This cake is for the drop-dead fabulous & famous pageant coach, Cyrus Frakes’ (The "King of the Crowns’) birthday, so it had to be super-fab & blingy! Cyrus is a long-time friend of mine who I think is just the BOMB, & I was honored to be asked to create his special cake. A black, white & silver color theme in the peacock design was requested, & those are my FAVORITE colors, so this was so fun for me!

I incorporated the encrusted pearl band around the bottom of the cake, because it evokes the fashion element of a heavily-adorned pageant gown glittering on stage. All the feathers, the peacock, & the tendrils are hand-painted, & I mixed in both silver & pixie dust so that even the white had sparkle.

The cake is a vanilla pound cake with white chocolate buttercream filling & white chocolate ganache icing. All the fondant is my own, including the black. All edible.
