Pumpkin Baby Cake

This was the first carved cake I’d done. A friend asked for a baby shower cake at the last minute and wanted something autumn theme. Cake was vanilla pound cake covered in marshmallow fondant. Gum paste leaves and curls.

I cheated a little with the head and pumpkin cap… They’re both made of cereal treats carved into the appropriate shape, then covered in fondant. The ears are completely fondant and the pumpkin stem is fondant as well. :)
