Giraffe Triple Chocolate Cake

For my daughter’s first birthday, I wanted to make a chocolate cake. And I wanted to play with fondant. Her favorite toy at the time was her pink giraffe, so it became the topper. I made a batch of sugar cookies and decided to attach her name to the cake with some for a 3D effect. This is a chocolate cake, filled with a dark chocolate filling and topped with a milk chocolate buttercream. The giraffe and number 1 are rolled fondant.
