Being a cake decorator and photography are two things that I’m very passionate about. So imagine my delight when after sifting through 60 odd images, I came across this one and loved how the last rays of sunlight danced on the leaves in the background giving this cake an autumn like feel in summer. I just had to share it with you….don’t you just love the magic that is NATURE.

Part of a tiered wedding cake, this top tier was adorned with a cascade of peony, dahlia’s, berries , blossoms and leaves all made out gum paste.

The Cake: Moist orange and cardamom cake layered with French vanilla Swiss butter cream and iced with Belgian white chocolate ganache.
