One of the biggest challenges I have ever accepted. Thanks to Nicole from Just for the Cake of It (her original design) I managed to pull it off. Vanilla cake with almond filling. The windmill was made out of wooden dowels and toothpicks covered in fondant, inserted in a styrofoam dome covered in fondant. The base is all cake. Made the stucco efect with royal icing. Don Quijote is sculpted out of gumpaste.
The birthday girl LOVED it!!
