This is a cake I made this week for my mum’s 70th birthday. My sister suggested the theme as our mum has recently moved and misses not having so many birds in her garden now. It’s a layered luxury carrot cake with orange buttercream. This is my second shaped cake (yes, carrot cake not very sensible for carving me thinks! Will know for next time!).
