Been a week long work for two cakes that I made this weekend and must say, what a start to the month of November! Two back to back wedding cakes and every inch of my body’s rumbling as I’ve crossed my limit and fatigue has set in!
This wedding cake named ’ Sweet Crescendo’ was made early today and is the second of the two cakes I’m to post.I’d rather save the BEST for last and wait for Thankams’ awesome magic on photography to fold in with the other cake as there are some magical moments there to share! Alas! Didn’t get Thankam here to click pics of this cake though!What a pity!
About the cake!
After a mad mad rush from Changanachery, Kerala, amidst the mayhem of cake delivery and excitement I had gone through there, my mind was yearning to come back ASAP as I had this cake to make.Made up for the sleepless nights with a power nap on my way back in my car during the journey (although I did want to sleep forever,sigh!) while Jaseel (our Schumacher)drove at jet speed.Hmm,back home, and to my surprise I had no Rochers in stock with me for the cake filling.Sigh again! Started work at 8pm.Slept at 12:30 am as I had to gain energy to wake up next morn to leave kids to school.Soon then I was on a marathon trying my level best to complete the cake as pick up time was 11:30am. Put every aching muscle to work and finally I was finished.Remember! My 9 month old baby girl with me all through!:D Aaah! what a relief!So here is the final look!
