The dreaded ‘C’ word has arrived. This is a very rich, nut free, brandy soaked fruit cake. It is going to be sold next week and the proceeds will go to charity. I was worried about filling in the ‘holes’ as there is no frosting and I could not use marzipan to hide them but it came out ok in the end.
It is a large cake….two 8" square pans on top of each other…weighs a ton!!!
