Another request for this cake design, it is based on Antonella Di Maria Torte & Design cake. I changed the colours and some aspects of the cake, but the general idea came from Antonella. I failed miserably trying to create fondant folds, like you would see on an actual wrapped present. 3 attempts later and lots of wasted fondant, i gave up and just pressed the lines into the surface instead – which worked in my favour because it made the cake look very neat and tidy. I was happy with the end result. This cake was for a 40th wedding anniversary.
