Doilies - Wedding Anniversary cake

Doilies - Wedding Anniversary cake

Finished in vanilla buttercream icing with scroll work. Doilies made out of fondant. (I use LMF) I made this cake start to finish (cutting and filling to final decor) in under 4 hours!

Thank you! Toni, I have no idea how I pulled it off! I had planned on doing brushed embroidery instead of scroll work but I had to cut that out. The cupcake order I had was picked up at 8:45. Right after that I cut, filled and crumb coated the tiers and put in to the fridge to set. While that was happening, I made breakfast real quick and ate. I cut out the doilies and went to town making the designs in them. That took the longest. I took out the cakes to ice around noon, stacked them and started putting on the final touches. I don’t know how in the world that pumpkin patch cake I made took so long to make all those pumpkins, but tiered cakes I can get together that quickly. It’s only the second time I have crunched that close with an order and no idea how no bulges. Icing job could have been better, but I’m just thrilled I had it ready before I had to leave at 1:15 to deliver. This weekend was the most trying weekend I have had in awhile, just glad to have made it through!
