The brief for this cake was…all white, lace, roses and only a touch of pink. The lace effect was created by piping flowers onto the cake with royal icing and then in laying with other flowers. I then used edible pearls in different sizes to bring out the lace. The roses are all sugar and the touch of pink is two pink ribbon bows. There were also cupcakes to match, some were dusky pink with lace piping, some white with lace piping and various other designed cupcakes to compliment the cake. I used real lace as cupcake wrappers to again add to bring everything together and continue with the theme.
