How to make this HALLOWEEN cake using Crystal Lace Icing from Crystal Candy
Cover a cake board with textured orange paper and place a cake covered in grey fondant in the centre
Using a large soft brush, add tones of navy and purple by dry brushing edible powder colours onto the fondant.
Using Crystal Lace and the halloween mat, make the lace in black, orange and white.
Add a touch of water to the back of the lace and position the lace on the fondant
For the 3D’ objects, such as the bats and spiders, paint a thin coat of chocolate to the undersides of the lace, and position the objects in 3D. Allow the chocolate to set. The chocolate serves as a support. Once set, attach the bats etc to the fondant, using a touch of chocolate as the ‘glue’
Complete the cake by sprinkling the base with chocolate sand.
