This is the cake I made to celebrate the launch of my new blog www.alisonlawsoncakes.com.

My inspiration for the cake came from pink as my favourite colour, my love of ombre, and some pretty roses I saw on a Christening cake last week-end.

The inside of the cake is four layers of vanilla sponge with pink buttercream.
