Ok so I would not say this is my favorite cake I have ever made but I am not ashamed to show one that I think I could have done much better on. I was very happy with my figurines and even how perfectly square I got my box just wish I had of gone with my first instinct which was to cover with fondant and then put the edible images on. Just another learning curve :)
A big shout out to twinmomgirl whose cake a few weeks ago inspired this creation. I think hers was much better and such a shame she only has 95 views for hers.

Oooh thank you so much you guys are so kind. I thought my 8yr old would also flip over it but instead he critiqued it like nobodies business,lol. I think this may have been why the last 2 years they have wanted a mine craft cake I have said no. I also told them they have been spoiled by seeing some of my better work that now when I have one that is not quite what I would like it to be they also are not happy. Future cake judges I think is what I am raising,lol.

Thank you Pauline and my lovely, dear friend Fiona for your wonderfully kind words. I think it was Versus who said earlier about how she is her worst critic and I had an idea of what I wanted and just did not get there all the way. That split decision not to use fondant was it for me. I had never used wafer paper before so was not 100% sure how this would go. I think if I had done white fondant or even white ganache underneath I may have been fine.
