Purple Ruffles, Shine and Swiss Dots
This cake was one of two created for a bride in Manhattan. This cake was chocolate with a dark chocolate ganache.
The bride’s color scheme at her wedding in Israel was purple so she wanted a variety of purple in different textures and styles. So we went with hand-piped Swiss dots on the top tier, a lavender shimmer with a wide band on the middle tier, and a deeper purple vertical ruffle with pearl sheen edges on the large double-barrel bottom tier. The shimmery middle tier was created only with a brush and dust, no airbrushing.
At the end is a picture of me and the bride with both of her cakes. The cakes traveled more than 400 miles from Buffalo/Niagara Falls, New York, to New York City. They were delivered to the Trump World Tower, 87th floor (I almost fainted!) across from the United Nations.
