This was a 100th birthday! and was a lemon sponge with lemon butter cream.
Had a bit of freedom on this cake the only requests were flowers and a bright colour that would be easy to see. So I thought red but didn’t want to go with the normal roses, so did it like it was part of a poppy field. The lady and her family were so happy with it and actually sent me a picture of the cake with her birthday card from the queen! x
