Baroque inspired wedding cake

The wedding took place in a castle in Germany right to the Lake of Bodensee. The castle itself dates back to the baroque epoche so the entire event was designed around this. I did aswell the invitation and other print material stuff, organised the event and finally, created the cake for the couple. Colour theme: white, red and gold.

Some of the molds where made by me, painted in red and decorated with edible gold leaf. The putti (baby-angels) on the bottom tier come from a new technique I am using with my airbrush.

This cake was constructed as double barrel; top tier was chocolate bisquit with raspberry buttercream and fresh raspberries, bottom tier flour-free almond cake with bourbon vanilla cream cheese buttercream.

Hope you all like it.
