This was made for a dear friend who loves elephants. As it was her 50th birthday, I didn’t want it to look too babyish, circus-y, or safari-themed, so this was the end result – elegant elephant!
Bottom tier was chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and dark chocolate ganache. Top tier was vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream and white chocolate ganache. Elephant topper was made from sugarpaste/mmf, with a styrofoam core – I knew she would want to keep this!
