The client told me that her daughter loves animals, she sent me a picture that she had found on the net, and I got inspired by it. But this cake was terribly executed, cause I’ve tried the Fondx for the 1st time, I put a bit of sugar to roll it, and it cracked all on that cake!!! Had to change the original design, and cover all the cracking!! who has tried fondx before? do you have bad experiences using it?

This is so cute Nadine!! just lovely! Sorry you had trouble with fondant! i have never used fondx but i always use “The Mat” when i roll fondant, i am never confident with fondant and always panic before i roll it but using the mat really helps me, it doesn’t seem to crack or split, maybe this would help? your finished cake looks lovely anyway!!

Thanks Elli! I should practice more on using the mat, cause it sticks so much to it that it’s difficult to remove and cover the cake.
