It was a big “NO” to fondant from hubby so this is what I ended up with. Piping is not my thing but I gave it a try and I’m pretty happy with it. Not perfect but will do. I am getting better at smoothing Swiss buttercream at least. Cake is white cake/pina colada filling made with homemade pineapple jam & toasted coconut/coconut Swiss Meringue Buttercream

I wish I could pipe this good! It really turned out amazing! Love the flowers, and that SMOOTH buttercream!! A very Happy Birthday to your Hubby too!

Thank you both. I was pretty excited with the finish on the buttercream. Still struggle getting SMBC smooth and I think this is the smoothest I have gotten it. The funny thing is that I made this late last night and was already tired. Only when I finished the SMBC did I realize that I had not changed to the paddle when I added the butter so I thought it would only go downhill from there but it went pretty well.
