Back in a previous life I used to coordinate an touring Australian film festival, which came to our region every year. I came to know the program manager and projectionist really well, and always caught up with them for an annual gossip and maybe a vino or two! This year I made some cute stork cupcakes for the program manager, as she was expecting bub number 2, and thought I’d made a few extras, themed for the guest of honour, Magda Szubanski. There was a Kath and Kim netball bib, Viola from Happy Feet, a pig and I tried my hand at the gold bling from her dress in Goddess. The film reel was for the projectionist! My kids were pretty cranky they decided not to come with me, as I ended sharing cupcakes and cups of tea with my friend and Magda! Cake – the great leveller, lol!
