Simple Elegance

My girlfriend asked me to make a cake for her mom who was turning 65. She is a simple, yet elegant woman. So I wanted to portray that in the cake I made. I used a lace cutter that I had purchased but never tried before. ( I liked it better than I thought). I made the flower and added some grey/silver sugar pearls to the centre. I thought the pale yellow and ivory was a nice combo. Overall, very pleased with how it turned. Now I’d love to make this into a 3-4 tiered wedding cake..I think it would be beautiful.
