Valentine's Day Cake

I made this for my mom for VDay 2012. The top tier is dark chocolate cake; bottom is torted french vanilla cake; both tiers have butter cream frosting. I made the roses and drop flowers out of royal icing; the hearts are fondant/gumpaste combo, and I used edible markers for the messages. The “lace” is the sotas piping technique.
