Wow, what can I say? This week was a massive week for Miss Couture. When Vi approached me and asked if I could make 3 cakes for her, I was gobsmacked after I realised that she actually wanted all 3 cakes for the 1 occasion! To think that I almost didn’t take her order because I was busy enough! With that said, I couldn’t resist Vi because I was so excited by the design freedom she afforded me. After listening to Vi’s brief, I came up with a Vintage Ruffles concept. Admittedly, when I initially heard that she wanted a soft pink and white cake, I nearly fell of my chair because I have been knee deep in pink and white and was dying to do something different so I was so excited when she mentioned that she wanted to tie in some black and dark pink and she even allowed me to add a touch of gold to add a little drama and dimension to the design. I must say that I am very pleased about how the cakes turned out. While each cake was very different and tailor made to each respective occasion, the collection still managed to look cohesive. I love how it all turned out in the end and more importantly, I loved that my beautiful client, Vi and her guests loved it too!
