Featured in Volume 4, Issue 6 of Cake Central Magazine’s Beatrix Potter Baby Shower cakes.

This Beatrix Potter story was “The Tale Of Timmy Tip Toes” and featured Timmy and his wife, Goody, preparing for a baby shower with the help of the bird that started all the trouble in the story.

I used a custom cut base board to add interest to the different decor items in the scene. All decor is made of gumpaste, housemade fondant or housemade modeling chocolate. Airbrush and hand painting were used to add additional details to the sculpting.

Each blade of grass, flower, tendril of vine and acorn were hand sculpted as well as Timmy and Goody. The tree took 3 hours to sculpt and another hour to airbrush.
