Birthday cake, cookies and cup cakes for a little girl’s first birthday.
Pink and white ruffled cake (a la Maggie Austin), zig zag and ruffle flower piped cookies, butter cream cupcakes and a smash cake filled with a chocolate freckle surprise.
It was a mad rush to make this little lot, but I was really happy with it all. The only slight irritation is the colour difference between buttercream and royal because BC is slightly yellowy in comparison to RI, and therefore the pink becomes a bit peachy. Don’t know how to avoid that really…
Oh – and the party was postponed because of sickness and the rubbishy weather we’ve had. It’s all going to be frozen for a few days and hoping the cake will survive being thawed upside down to try to preserve those ruffles….
