Tried my hand at cake pops. Not too crazy about them but wanted to try something new. I prefer making flowers and decorating cakes.

Goreti, these are cute but I really agree that pops are not worth the time we spend making them…. You can make and decorate a cake in the same time :-) and people don’t understand why they are expensive, oh well!!

Thanks everyone. Dina, you are so right. I was just telling my husband that I don’t know how people make any money on them. By the time, you factor in all the supplies needed and the time you spent. It is not worth it but I just had to try them. lol

I think you’ve done well xx I wasn’t sure the 1st time I made them, but they grow on you. Bit fiddly but you find short cuts when you’ve done a few batches. My top tip is to push the stick into the balls before you chill them, it sticks easier when you tip it in chocolate and put it in later and stops the cake pop from breaking up easier when you dip them.

Thanks Karen. That is exactly what I did. I read that online. Not sure is about the chilling thing. Some say freeze others same refrigerate. I think they were too cold because some of them cracked but I managed to cover with the designs.

I think you’ve done well Goreti
