Just for fun...

This was a difficult choice….I was asked to put all those items which were characterising Gessica’s life on a quite elegant cake (because I know, they actually wanted me to make a very elegant cake for a special lunch on Sunday morning….only 4 hours to work on the cake). Unfortunalely I didn’t find a suitable solution as the colours and the items were definitely NOT matching…besides, they were anything but elegant. The cake was rather small – it had to feed 30 and on 3 tiers (!!), there was little space between the tiers and the items turned out too big. I was quite unhappy with this request ….Finally I applied the pink butterflies which gave that vivid touch and made me like it on the whole.

no, Orietta…non mi sono affatto divertita! Ero preoccupata che venisse fuori una ciofeca…..Certo, non è un’opera d’arte, ma alla fine credo che cromaticamente sia accettabile! :)

im having the same problem, the client wanted me to put everything that doesn’t go together, well, together, and on my sketches, they just dont seem right, or good, but the client ok’d it.. im just hoping that as I move forward, they will all fall into places, or hopefully I’ll find my “butterflies” ;) and despite what u said, the cake looks great.. we are our biggest critic… :)
