This cake was made for a young man about to head off to the University of Tampa. The minute I was asked to do this cake this design popped in my head. I had just seen a cake done by one of my favorite decorator’s Lauren Kitchens where she had attached a art deco fan onto a cake and it looked amazing. I wanted to challenge myself like that and new internal structure was going to be key to making this Spartan sit like I wanted him too. I ended up using plumbing supplies and they worked like a charm. I made the Spartan from gumpaste and fondant. Top cake was a 6" round and stood 10" tall. Unfortunately I had to assemble on sight so could not get the nice pictures to really show this cake off to it’s full potential.

Thank you so much greatly appreciated. Just wanted to clarify that the bottom tier is a 8" chocolate cake, 4" separator then 6" vanilla cake 10" tall. Had to get it exactly in the middle or was going to be an absolute disaster.
