The brief on this cake: Maria wanted lilac/mauve as the main color for her cake with some butterflies and hearts. So this is what I came up with. I had trouble “fixing” the color of the cake that was coming out blue instead of mauve in pictures but with the help of some of you, I was able to make it look more mauve than blue, just in the main picture :-) Thanks to all of you who answered my Forum question (Michal, Kerry @KiwiEatCake, Diane @BellaCakes & Confections).

Michal, thank you, especially for responding to my Forum question. I think I will need a dedicated place to take pictures with appropriate lighting!
