I made this cake for a surprise 60th birthday for my late husbands partner. They had practiced together for more than 25 years, so I wanted to make something special that reflected his love of golf and medicine. My inspiration came from Nancy’s Cakes and Beyond’s lovely cake she made a few months ago. I made the argyle pattern on the top tier by cutting out individual diamond shapes, and putting them together using Jessica’s wax paper transfer method. It worked amazing. Everything is edible except for a few toothpick and the candle. This is the first time I have taken a picture outside. Boy, it makes a world of difference!! Thank you for looking!
