This cake was my first ever Carousel cake,I made it for a special little girl in my life and she was absolutely thrilled with it. I made two victoria sandwich cakes in 8” tins a deep one for the bottom and a shallow one for the top, I made the dome cake in the top half of a giant cupcake tin, the cakes were filled with vanilla butter cream & raspberry jam then I covered them in butter cream & fondant icing.I used cutters for the decorations around the top & a rocking horse cutter for the horses, I just cut off the rockers and glued the horses on to clear plastic doweling rods with edible glue. I used a crystal glass for the center support supported by doweling rods in the base cake.
