This cake originally was supposed to be quilted, but a late night decorating issue resulted in the fondant tearing! so after a moment sat cursing I got out the foam pads and set about making ruffles.
They are easy to do and cover a bad icing job! I dusted the ruffles with rose petal dust to bring out the edges.
inside the cake it was a vanilla sponge in the ombre style the same as the ruffles.
