This was a very sweet cake to make, my ma’am Ro and her friends were having a get together after 32 years of leaving Stella Maris….nothing could be as sweet as friendship holding on strong for decades, this one goes out to the spirit of these lovely ladies. The painting was suggested by Ro ma’am to denote their enduring and endearing closeness. Original was Chinese Peach Blossom Painting by the artist Li Jian Gang…..I hope I have managed to capture a small percentage of the life in the original. The painting was done on fondant with edible paint. Flowers were raised slightly with gum paste to give the cake an extra appeal.
