When my customers booked this cake I was over the moon, not only would I get to work with a shade of my favourite colour purple but I would also get to make my second peony. Prompted by Jo from Ciccio Cakes I watched the Craftsy class by Nicholas Lodge on how to make a peony. Fantastic tutorial, and thankfully very easy as I had limited time to make this in. The lace is edible and the scroll on the middle tier is similar to that of the bride and groom’s invitation.
Almost forgot to mention that when I delivered this to the venue I had the peony seperate and asked a staff member to carry it while I carried the cake. She sniffed the peony thinking it was real…..that realy put a smile on my face.
