I made this cake for a friends baby shower, The basket was chocolate MMF (marshmallow fondant) that I handmade each loop for the basket. It took a very long time to do this piece by piece but was well worth the effort. Please ignore the toothpicks in the second picture, I wanted you to see a closeup of the weave. The toothpicks were to support that bow while I traveled down a pothole, icy dirt road, just forgot to take them out for the pic. All decorations were gumpaste or fondant.

Ty Sugarshey! It was very time consuming, took about 5 hours to do the basketweave alone but it was worth it, the effect was more realistic. It was a big oval shaped cake though. I did do it on a round and it came out really cool, took less than 2 hours on a 9 or 10 inch round.
