This was based on the Skyrim game. Chocolate mud cake with white chocolate ganache filling and chocolate dragon. The main rock is carved cake and it was my first attempt using home made modelling chocolate for the dragon. It was very satisfying to make and use a product from scratch! I found it quite easy to work with, but then I have cold hands so presume it was easier as I didn’t melt the chocolate!
The only internal supports used were one for the dragon head and one for joining the tail to the body. The chocolate sets really hard so it was easy to get the right shape for the tail without having to use wires to support it like I would have with fondant.
I also used my Dinkydoodle airbrush to shade the rock and the dragon. I love the metallic blue airbrush paint! I used a layer of black over the brown chocolate, then went over with the metallic blue and some pearl silver for highlights. The Skyrim logo was hand painted using edible silver paint.
