Bee Mini Cake with Matching Cupcakes

This cake and the matching cupcakes were done simply for fun :) Saw this design on Cupcake Envy’s website and wanted to try it out for myself! I used two small oval layers for the Bee then trimmed them down to size and covered with yellow buttercream. The wings and antennae are gum paste and all other details were fondant. For the cupcakes, I simply iced them in yellow buttercream, rolled the edges in black jimmies and added the gum paste wings. Such a fun little project!
