Elmo Babyshower Cake

This little guy was definitely a challenge for me. I don’t work with royal icing much so making his “fur” (and not making a HUGE mess) was not easy! He also didn’t want to stay up on the cake AT ALL, I have to add several extra skewers and pound them through his belly to make him stay put! Talk about nerve wreaking.. Overall I think I did alright with Elmo but I wasn’t very happy with the end result as a whole even though the customers loved it. Elmo is rkt covered in royal, cake is covered and decorated with fondant. The design was inspired from a picture from the customerThank you for looking!
