I made this cake for my little sis’s baby shower. It is chocolate cake filled with chocolate ganache and vanilla buttercream. The fondant is detailed with royal icing and painted. The trees, vines, flowers, and leaves are made from modeling chocolate. My first time sculpting chimps – the mommy and baby chimps are made from modeling chocolate and gumpaste. I was attempting to capture that precious feeling between mommy and baby – as my sister will soon be experiencing that herself :)
