This is a cake done for a 12-year old girl’s birthday at her request. It is 30 cm (12 in) and took a ton of chocolate :-)
It is a double fondant cake with a layer of dark chocolate ganache in between, covered with a melange of ganache & buttercream, everything then wrapped with Kit Kat and the “bucket” filled with Smarties (better colors for a girl than M&Ms). She asked for her name and her age to be on sugar cookies, with a heart on the cake and a mustache too (this is the trend apparently with preteens). The result is this… I am showing a picture from the party with the mustache!
