I made this cake a couple of weeks ago for my friend and her husband who were having a combined birthday party. It was a last minute decision on their part to have a cake at their party (3 days before in an already crazy busy week!!) so I had to come up with some slightly more abstract ideas to incorporate their interests (surfing/animals – hence animal print – LOL!) :)
