This was the biggest challenge for me as I’m not typically a ‘big cake’ maker and this was seriously huge, sat on an 18” board and weighing 10kg.
Made for the owner of a local haulage company the pressure was really on to get the detail right, I also wanted to give the option for some part of it to be kept as a keepsake so I made the cab part entirely from Rice Krispies.
I really loved/hated this cake – it caused a lot of worry and stress but also gave me a huge amount of experience :)
