Last minute change from my mother on my Dad’s cake resulted in this. Had a big bucket of beer planned and she decided to hold that off till next year when he turns the big 50. His birthday is just two days after V-Day and I was stumped. I got the inspiration for this cake from Pinterest (http://tikkido.com/node/783), but made a few changes to make it my own. I made it an ombre cake in browns and changed the topper a bit. I really loved this cake and I thought it was appropriate – hopefully not too girly ;). It was a pound cake with vanilla IMB inside and choc IMB outside for the color. This thing was DELICIOUS and a big hit!
