Giant Cupcake with Cascade of Orange Flowers

This cake is an order from my lifelong friend Helen for another of her friends who also happens to be a fellow cakemaker. Needless to say, I wanted this to be a good job!

The cakes are all orange with poppy seed and they are frosted with orange buttercream.
