Princess Inspired Cake

A Princess inspired cake for a second birthday girl. I made the tiara out of fondant, with silver pearl and jewel accents. I wanted the cake to look like a Princess’s gown, so I made the bottom tier with pink ombre ruffles, a bow around the middle, and the top tier being the top of a gown is quilted with pearls and covered in pearl luster dust. The number 2 is cut out of fondant in pink and white, and I covered the pink edges in coloured sugar to give it some texture and the white is also covered in pearl luster dust for some shimmer. The little “Happy 2nd Birthday Selina” plaque is made out of fondant, and I painted on the letters, rose and borders. This cake came together so great, I love how it turned out.
