A few months ago I purchased a course by Maggy Austin called Fondant Frills on Craftsy.com. Since then I have been looking for the perfect excuse to try it out. A couple of weeks ago my best friends mother in law emailed me asking me to make a cake for her daughter- in laws birthday. I knew the exact design in my head and was excited to try it out. I did a lot of firsts with this cake, the frills, painting the top tier gold as well as modelling the peony were all new things to me. I followed some great tutorials and absolutely love the result.

Loved it, so pretty. I like all Maggie works, I took her class too, from that time i felt in love with frill and its colors idea.
